Book Review - Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This is definitely one of my favorite books. I'll try not to give any spoilers. Hey, I said I'll try.

So...this book is called Geekerella. ( BTW go check out Ashley Poston's website, she is so cool. ) I will put a summary and other things in different paragraphs on here so read on...

( Just so it makes more sense, this book goes off of two perspectives, one from Elle and one from Darien Freeman. ) Okay now read on...

SUMMARY OF THE BOOK -

ELLE - There's this chic named Elle. She lives with her Evil ' stepmonster '. ( Get the cinderella vibes ?) Anyways, and she lives with her 2 stepsisters, Chloe * the mean bitchy one *. And then Calliope ( Cal for short ), who is shy and isn't super mean. So Elle's father passed away and she has to stay with this ' family '. She works in a food truck with this girl Sage * the goth fairy godmother who is super awesome, you'll see *. So Elle's life pretty much sucks right now but then she meets this guy ' Carmindor ' when he gets the wrong number after she inherited her dad's phone. And they become great friends and she really likes him. Later though Elle hears about a cosplay contest for her absolute favorite show in the world Starfield, she HAS to enter, the reward is money and then she can leave this horrible mean family and move on. So she has to figure out how to keep this a secret from her mother and sisters otherwise it's hopeless. With the help of her new friend she must make it happen.

DARIEN - Darien has a perfect life right ? Tons of money and fame, insured abs, even more money... But no he has no freedom, love,and a life really. Day after day it's all about looks,makeup,dieting and trying to hide who you truly are. But when he meets this girl named Elle she changes his life, he just can't stop thinking about her. He wants to meet her and get to know her. But his dad would never let that happen, he needs to keep his reputation,do this,do that,eat this,don't say that, you can't be like them. But he must learn a way to be himself during all this pressure, and then he goes to the con and his life changes forever

REVIEW AND OPINION - I love this book, it was beautifully written and the story is so sweet. When I first started to read it, I couldn't stop and I stayed up all night trying to finish it but then I passed out. It has an adorable storyline and I love the characters. I love how there is a variety of fairytale,fangirling, and people of the LGBTQ+ community. I love it and recommend it. There are some parts that are for older people like jokes and stuff but it's not like 50 shades of grey gross.

MY SCALE RATING - FROM 1- PICKLE ( 1 meaning really shitty and pickle meaning out of this world amazing, because like..pickles.. HELLO, they are amazing and out of this world )
